Treasures on the Trail

LCTA Treasures on the Trail!

Please join the Linn County Trails Association for a special event sponsored by Hall Bicycle and Big Grove! 

There will be two parts. A Scavenger Hunt on your bike (60-90 minutes) and a Mini Treasurers on the Trail (30 minutes) for walkers or families with tots in strollers or small bikes.  

Where- Big Grove Brewery, 170 First Street SW, Cedar Rapids. (Start and end) Event is "on the Trails"

When- Start any time after 1 pm. Door Prize Drawings at 3:30 pm  

What-  Using the Scavenger Hunt Sheet you will find and mark off objects and bring back photos, answers and/or objects to show you completed the event. Tickets will be awarded for completed event answers which can be used for door prize drawings, provided by local businesses! 

Other- The event will start and end at Big Grove Brewery where you can celebrate your completion of the event.  Space is reserved and food and drink is available for purchase.

Register by 10PM September 4:

Scavenger Hunt: $36 gets you a t-shirt and drink coupon for the cyclist.

Mini Treasures on the Trail: $34 gets you one drink ticket per family (up to 4, kids under 10).

Day of Registration:

Same prices, but no t-shirt or drink coupon. However, you're eligible for the door prizes.

NOTE: You will need to sign a liability waiver when you check in on the day of the event.

As this is a fundraiser, there is no rain date and no refunds. However, in case of rain, we'll have a party at Big Grove where you can pick up your t-shirt, purchase food and drink, and learn about trails!

All proceeds will go to LCTA to assist with Making Trails Happen!

Treasures on the Trail will be a fun event on bike or on foot! Bring your mobile phone, take photos and/or answer questions to a Scavenger Hunt along the trails. This fundraiser and awareness event will bring lots of smiles…and maybe a little competition.
